If you've already got NBA 2K23, you may have noticed that the game doesn't actually list team ratings in an obvious location.
In order to find out how things rank across the league, you actually have to jump into Play Now Online to see all 30 teams divvied up between Tier 1 (Top 10), Tier 2 (Middle 10), and Tier 3 (Bottom 10) with their own Overall, Offense, and Defense Ratings.
Here, we're gonna break down each NBA team from best to worst along with their Team Ratings and the Player Rating for each of their top 3 players.

As you'll see below, the Milwaukee Bucks snag the top spot narrowly with a minor edge on Defense compared to the second place Los Angeles Lakers.
While not the best overall, there's a three-way tie for Best Offense Rating between the Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, and Brooklyn Nets who each have a 98 Offense.
Defensively there's a clear top option with only the Los Angeles Clippers at 98 Defense, trailed by the Milwaukee Bucks (97 Defense) and Los Angeles Lakers (96 Defense).
While a few teams are tied by their Overall Rating, we've let the highest Offense or Defense rating between those teams break that tie to solidify these rankings.
