Barton College Football is kicking off their 2024 campaign at home as they face the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets on Thursday at 6 PM ET at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

The Bulldogs are coming off their second winning season in three years (6-5 overall) and are predicted to finish ninth in the South Atlantic Conference.

Barton College returns sophom*ore quarterback Trevor Nored, a transfer from the University of Rhode Island. However, two familiar offensive standouts, Jordan Terrell and Kameron Johnson, will be missing from the lineup. Terrell and Johnson recently earned roster spots on the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

West Virginia State, a Division 2 school and a member of the Mountain East Conference, is looking to bounce back after a 4-6 run in 2023. The Yellow Jackets return standout Joel Felder at running back. Felder rushed for 1,115 yards and 13 scores and was an all-league and all-region honoree.
